Mafia: The Old Country Review – Flawed, But Fuggedaboutit

Mafia: The Old Country is a strange beast. It’s stiff, dated, and sometimes downright frustrating to play, but its gripping story and beautifully written characters make it impossible to put down. Enzo’s rise through the Sicilian underworld feels both familiar and fresh, carried by excellent performances and strong writing. Sure, the open world is emptier than a Don’s promises and the knife fights wear out their welcome, but the storytelling more than earns its place. This is Mafia at its most flawed—and its most memorable.
